OUR INSPIRED MOMENT
Resthaven started out as an idea. "What if you could own your space, no matter where you traveled?" We were driven by our desire to revolutionize travel and get rid of the tenant/landlord model and avoid the lack of ownership and annual expenses of timeshares. We sought to build a solution for travelers interested in visiting the world's most coveted destinations, without the ongoing lodging expense. Here's how we stack up:
No Economic Value
Timeshares have garnered a negative reputation due to annual maintenance fees, limited travel locations, and little resale value. Unfortunately, many are sold as if they are an investment. But from a financial perspective, an investment should generate income, increase in value, or both. Timeshares don't do either.

The tenant-landlord relationship is systematically exclusive by design. The average family takes vacation for 14 days per year and spends a nightly rate of $884 at a luxury property. Unlike primary residences that can be purchased with a low down payment, second properties typically require a minimum of a 20% down payment in addition to the ongoing monthly mortgage, management, and annual maintenance fees.
